Cream Cheese Cake and Icing
Cake Instructions
Mix margarine and Crisco into cream. Add sugar. Beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well. Combine flour and baking soda, pour in with buttermilk (alternating). Stir in vanilla, coconut, and nuts. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in 3 cake pans at 350ΒΊ until done (typically about 20-25 minutes).

Cake Ingredients
- 1 stick of margarine
- 1/2 cup of Crisco
- 2 cups of sugar
- 5 egg yolks (all at one time)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of coconut (shredded)
- 1 cup of chopped pecans
Icing Instructions
Spread lightly between layers as there won't be enough to cover the entire cake.
Icing Ingredients
- 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 stick of margarine
- 1 box of confectionary sugar
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of coconut (shredded)
- 1 cup of chopped pecans
