Company Casserole


Instructions

Boil salted water. Place noodles in and cook until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water. Melt butter in skillet and add meat and cook until it has lost red color. Add salt, pepper, garlic salt, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, then combine cottage cheese, sour cream, chopped onions, and noodles. Begin layering noodle mixture in 2 quart casserole dishes, alternating with meat sauce. Cover top with cheddar cheese and bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz. pkg. of medium size noodles
  • 1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef
  • 1 tsp. of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. of garlic salt
  • 1 16 oz. can of tomato sauce
  • 1 12 oz. carton of creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 8 oz. carton of sour cream
  • 1 medium size onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese
